XTFD operates a fleet of 12 apparatus from 2 firehouses, including 3 engines, 2 tankers, 3 EMS squads, 2 brushfire trucks, and a rescue utility truck, plus 2 command staff vehicles.
XTFD participates in the Greene County Fire Chiefs Vehicle Number System which identifies the department, station and type of apparatus using a number code for radio communications. The Greene County number pre-fix for XTFD is 5, so all XTFD units start with a number 5. The last number in the group indicates the type of apparatus as follows;
0 = chief or command officer
1 = engine pump apparatus
2 = tanker water supply apparatus
3 = brush fire apparatus
4 = rescue or utility apparatus
5 = medical transport ambulance / squad / medic
6 = aerial ladder apparatus
All XTFD emergency fire vehicles are bright red in color with full NFPA compliant emergency lighting and reflecting striping applied. Medic squads are white with red striping. The XTFD fleet is based as follows;
