- What is a Comprehensive Plan and Why are we making one?
- A comprehensive plan is expresses the goals and vision of a community development in the medium to long term.
- The plan addresses the vision for transportation, utilities, recreation, land preservation, housing and business development.
- The Xenia Township Comprehensive Plan will provide the vision for the township through 2035.
- Both Greene County and the City of Xenia have recently updated their plans. Xenia Township is now updating our plan.

- How (summary) are we developing the Plan?
- In 2024, the Zoning Commission recommended to the Trustees that the plan should be updated. The Trustees agreed.
- The Zoning Commission is committed to listening to the broad and diverse opinions of township residents on the vision for the future of the township.
- In April of 2025, the Zoning Commission recruited Xenia Township residents to be members of the Steering Committee.
- The steering committee main purpose is to solicit input from the township residents and identify the representative views of the township.
- The steering committee was selected based to represent all areas of the township and have a broad range of life experiences.
- The committee has a target size of 20 members.

- The Steering committee held some organizational and orientation meetings and then solicit a first round public input.
- Three meetings and web site survey. Post cards were sent to township residents to announce the meetings and web survey.

Residents were provided three dates for public input June 12, June 30 and July 22 at three different township locations. The attendees were asked to respond to multiple questions with a ranking of 0 =lowest 5=highest. Questions, responses to questions by date, and a summary of all responses are provided
- (Today) The committee is analyzing the public input and identifying areas of consensus and areas where additional input is needed.
- The committee will publish an update after this step

- The committee will develop its final recommendation for the plan
- The Zoning Commission will have public hearings and provide a recommendation on the plan.
- The Trustees will have public hearings and make a final decision on the plan.
- Existing Conditions (So Far) – The steering committee has gathered a variety of background and historical information to better understand the character and current conditions of the township
